Read With Me
Read With Me is a volunteer-driven literacy program dedicated to helping children from low-income, limited-English-speaking environments learn to read, comprehend, and speak English. We provide books and one-on-one support to help every child reach their full potential.
Our Mission
To assist children from a low-income, limited-English-speaking environment develop to their fullest potential by learning to read, comprehend, and speak English, while understanding that people care about them as individuals.
Our Impact
We have expanded our program to 22 schools with a team of 500 dedicated volunteers.
This year, we have distributed over 79,000 books to disadvantaged students.
We have expanded our summer literacy programs to provide year-round educational resources.
Success Story
Karen Magana, a junior at Pomona College, credits Read With Me and its volunteers for her academic journey. She says the program not only taught her to love reading but showed her that the community cared about her success.
